Rocky's Uncle Joe arrives in Angel Grove to address the local football team before their game against Stone Canyon. A young student called Alan wants to try out for the team, but his difficulty with understanding letters and numbers begins to affect his studies, and he will not be permitted to play for the team if he does not improve. Rocky volunteers to help him. Meanwhile, Lord Zedd and Rita unleash the Centiback monster, a creature with all the skills of a refined football player, with the ability to transform anything into legitimate footballs
