The story of the show surround with how James raise his infant daughter, Hope who was conceived from the one night stand with Lucy who was sentenced to death when Hope was still 6 months old. James "Jimmy" Chance is a clueless 24-year-old who impregnates a serial killer during a one-night-stand.
