Jay gives Ruth a necklace on her birthday. Sarah tries to warn Ruth away from Jay and threatens to not recommend her for the surgical training post if she continues to see him. Ruth suffers haemorrhage after a confrontation with Jay. Adam doesn't want the F2's treating patients on their own but after a situation occurs Adam has to watch them cope.
